Video Catania 1 - 2 Lecce

Two last-gasp goals delivered a huge three points for relegation-battling Lecce as they beat Calcio Catania 2-1 and moved to within two points of safety.

The hosts completely dominated the opening 45 minutes but were unable to open the scoring, as Pablo Barrientos, Gonzalo Bergessio and Francesco Lodi all fired wide from promising positions.

Vincenzo Montella's team finally made the breakthrough seven minutes after the break, Bergessio scoring his first goal since February with a firm header from a whipped free-kick.

Lecce were given the chance to level the scores on 70 minutes after Giovanni Marchese handled in the penalty area. However, David de Michele sent his spot kick hopelessly wide.

Three minutes from time, Luis Muriel delivered a low cross and Daniele Corvia tapped home and equaliser.

Goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo was sent off for dissent moments later after vocal and prolonged protestation over the goal.

That forced the hosts to play the closing stages with midfielder Francesco Lodi between the posts.

Lodi did make a decent stop from Corvia, but he was helpless to stop Di Michele from slamming home the winner in stoppage time.
